Things I found out about Maui
*Everyone drives slower then the speed limit
*An earthquake doesn't shut the island down, but rain does
*Lots of homeless people live on the beach
*I know more than one place to buy pot, and they aren't shy about asking you if you want any
Welcome Home
Going from high 80's to mid 90's for the last week and a half to 35 degree weather sucks!
We just returned from the most beautiful place in the world, Maui! We loved it soo much, that we stayed an extra two days! I seriously did not want to come home! And if housing wasn't so expensive there, I probably wouldn't have. I was jsut utterly Awsome!
And travelers tip: Never go to Oahu! Maybe only to see Pearl Harbor, but then get right back off that island! We couldn;t get off of it soon enough. In fact, we caught an earlier flight back to Maui to get off it faster...
Wings
Yesterday I had the framework for the wings welded here at work, and went home and put them on the Angel of Death. I took a picture as a teaser until I get them done. It'll be a couple weeks though, as I am getting married tomorrow and going to Hawaii for a week.

Angel of Death
For those of you that don't know, I am a real Halloween Finatic.
For this year, I am building an "Angel of Death." It is by far the most work intesnive piece I have done to date. it's taken me about two and a half weeks thus far. I finished painting it last night. The only thing left to do is to build the wings.

ISH 2006
The last week of September, we had a trade show in Chicago at McCormick place. Over the last few months, I have been intamately involved with getting this trade show booth up and running. Everything from hauling equipment (which ultimately lead to braking my truck, but it's OK, work paid for the repairs!) to design of parts of the booth, to the setup at the show. This show was the unveiling of the new booth, and the new look of Weil-McLain. it was such a hit, we stole the show. It was located directly at the top of the escalators, so it was the first one that you saw.
The booth specs are:
40' long, 16' high at the highest. An enclosed conference room, a turntable for a product, a radiant floor section, and 4 50" flatpanel monitors with a viewing area. The flooring is a brand new product; it's lanolieum (sp?) floor made to look like hardwood, with a 1/4" foam applied to the underneith. All the outlying product displayes had lights underneith them, which no one else at the show had either, and 4 light panels with product ads on them (they kinda washed out in the pictures).
Our booth was the talk of the town. Not a single person came in and didn't give a compliment.

Stolen Topic
Because I am a loof and have nothing exciting to offer anyone, I have this here topic of which i stole from Laura
you, me, and teevee
I have so many different shows I like to watch during the winter months. Mainly because it's too damn cold to do anything outside. unfortunately the TV season runs well into spring, and starts too early in the fall. All the shows we love to watch have premiered in the last couple of weeks, with new eposides every week. Problem is, this is the time of year where it is still nice out, AND we like to work on our halloween decorations! Sheesh! how can i build stuff with so many new shows going on?!
My weekly listing of shows:
Monday:
How I Met Your Mother
Two and a Half Men
CSI: Miami
Tuesday:
NCIS
Wednesday:
I have DVR'd Jericho, but I haven't watched it yet. It looks good.
We spend today watching the DVR'd shows we hadn't gotten a chance to yet.
Thursday:

Friday:
The Ghost Wisperer
Sunday
The Simpsons
The Family Guy
The War At Home
Without A Trace
