I hope
I Hope
All those illegal immigrants and those who are supporting them striking will be fired, check out by the Feds ,and then deported! You want be part of this country, you should have done it legally!
Then, we can easily figure out who the bastard companies were that hired the illegals, and take them down as well!
"Negate The Boycott"
As you may know, on May 1st, a large nationwide boycott is being planned by Mexicans both legal and illegal; plus those sympathetic to their cause.
The plan is to not work, to not go to school, to not purchase from U.S. businesses to show the financial loss to the U.S. economy, thus showing the "power" these several million have to Congress and our Government. It is the purpose of this E-mail to rally America to negate these proposed "losses" by doing all of our purchases on that day, May 1st. Go to work, go to school, and hire LEGAL U.S. citizens to do the work these protesters would have done.
So, put off buying gas, food, and any purchases or hired workers until May 1st if at all possible.
Do your own lawn, sweep your own driveway, wash your own dishes, clean your own house or business, or hire a legal American citizen to do it.
It's time for America to wake up and send a message of our own to those who think they have the power to change our country to suit their needs and wants.
Majority rules, and makes the rules.
We just want the rules followed...by everyone!
It's time again for the "Silent Majority" to be silent no longer.
NEGATE THE BOYCOTT ON MAY 1, 2006.
"E Pluribus Unum".

Too much to do
Too much to do
A week and a half later, and the yard isn't completely done yet. Although alot has been accomplished, and it is noticable.
Let's make a list, shall we?
*Rebuilt retaining wall for the front of house flower garden (sunk due to sewer pip dig up last summer)
* Removed old bush stump from front of house flower garden
* Rebuilt retaining wall on front of house flower garden from stump removal
* Removed all plants from front fence fower garden and tilled
* Tilled front of house flower garden
* Added tulip garden along back of house
* Put edging, weed barrier on front fence flower garden, replaced plants
* Planted flowers in part of front of house flower garden.
* Weeded and replaced some plants in hide of house flower garden
* Removed about 15 trees from the grapevine area (2" or smaller in diameter)
* Removed 2 trees larger than 2" in diameter
* Trimmed the entire grapevine (that alone took Christina almost a week)
* Filled in sinkhole in front of house flower garden (again, from the sewer work)
* Filled in holes left by truck from pulling stump out of flower garden
* Dug a hole and built a pond which includes a waterfall and a fountain.
* Lawn mowed
Things left to be done:
* Finish planing in front of house flower garden (we were waiting for the pond to be finished)
* Replace mulch in front of house flower garden
* spread grass seed in newly covered dirt areas
Not much left, and things are looking pretty nice!
Oh, and those of you who know, wish me luck, today is the day. If you don't know, and want to, shoot me an email, I'll tell you tonight. But wish me luck first! :)

Finally...A Promotion
Finally...A Promotion
Well I got my Engineering Degree last May. I have been trying since then to get placed in the Engineering Department here at work. I even interviewed for an open position. I never was told that I didn't get it, but I was told they were creating a different position for me. But they hired another guy who they saw was a "valuable resource."
I don't blame them there.
Well over the last year, Engineering has said they had a position for me. Marketing says they don't want to let me go, and they showed it. We are getting out of the Radiant business, but they have been draging their feet alot with it. During that time, Marketing has been creating a new position for me.
well the last couple months, I am really in limbo in Radiant, becuase the sales force knows we're leaving it, so they haven't been pushing it. I've been pretty bored. So I started nagging bout getting out of it, and pushing Engineering to get me in.
Well yesterday, the VP of Engineering and the VP of Marketing came in my office, and informed me that I will be doing share time. I will work 2-3 days a week in Engineering, and work the remainder in Marketing, until we completely get out of Radiant, and I am no longer needed here. THANK GOD! It's been hard waiting this long. But it;s finally all comming together.
Also, I got a 20% pay raise. WOOT!

Lovely Weather
Lovely Weather
Three day weekends are nice. Esprcially after they follow a three day week which followed a four day camping trip. Unfortunately, I am back to a full week of work this week. Suck.
The weather friday and saturday were wonderful. Christina and I spent both those days outside working in the yard. Unfortunately, we're not even close to being done. We are redoing all the flower beds this year, as well as clearing out the grapevine, so the grapes can actually grow!
Hopefully we'll be done this week, if the weather keeps up.

Taxes
Taxes
Got my taxes back the other day. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as originally anticipated. I don't owe the government $4g's, I owe them $9. Apparently he didn't account for my full time work W-2 in that estimate. Plus, he said a rough estimate.
Also, they had to redo my taxes from last year, because Jackoff-Hewitt screwed them up so much.
Fortunately, I am getting almost $700 back from that.
Unfortunately, because they had to do so much work on my traxes this year, it cost me almost $500. I had to borrow the money from Christina until I get my taxes back. They are going out today.

The weather sucked, the fish weren't biting...
The weather sucked, the fish weren't biting...
...but there's just something you gotta love about camping!!
In Southern Indiana (well almost) we managed to experience all weather, except for snow, on Friday alone. It was hot and humid all day while we were mushroom hunting. Ended up in the middle of a 300 yard long briar patch when it started raining on us. That of course stopped when we finally got back to the truck. While setting up camp later that afternoon, we could hear the thunderstorm rolling in. We got the tents up, and as soon as the cook tent was up, the wind started howling, and the sky turned a funky green. The rain came and it was blowing right into the mesh cook tent (where we were all standing). I looked at my little dome tent and I was taking bets at the exact time it would blow away. Right as we all decided to get our ponchos out (because mesh doesn't keep out blowing cold rain) it started to hail. And it was big hail. About the size of dimes. Doug's rain cover blew off at this point. My tent was almost flat from the wind. We all scattered, got our ponchos and put Doug's tent back together.
About 20 minutes later the rain quit but the wind stayed and it got really cold. I don't think any night was above 32 degrees down there, although the weather got better after Saturday. Saturday was just bitter, cold, and windy.
4 days of fishing and I caught 2 fish. A 10 inch bluegill, and an eight in bass, which had to be thrown back. Apparently the weather had been so crappy down there the last couple of weeks that the fish stopped biting and it has thrown off their spawning seasons. The lakes were up alot too.
Oh well, I love camping anyways!! Lots of fun. Got to see cool things like drag mines and drag lines and coal pits and stuff. Guys only no women, (they don't like to go 3 days without showers).
And what will I remember for the rest of my life?
In this little town, they never had anything with just the towns name. It was always a phrase "You'll Like Linton."

Thursday is the new Friday
Thursday is the new Friday
Today after work I am going home, loading up the truck, picking up Shawn, and heading downstate to Greene-Sullivan State Forest for the next 4 days. It's a guys only camping and fishing trip, there's going to be about 10 of us total. The women (and girly men) wouldn't want to go anyways, because there is no running water at this place. It's all primitave camping. My favorite! Just so you know how much fun we are going to have, go to weather.com, and in the city, type in Dugger, IN and look at the forecast. Yeah, it's going to be a rough couple of days.

Fear Factor Biast
Fear Factor Biast
Why is it that you NEVER see ugly people on Fear Factor? They are always skinny and hot, and the chicks always have big boobs. Not that I am complaining, but I anm damned shure fat ugly people have applied for this show too, but then never get on.
I should try out, and when I am rejected, sue for discrimination.
