Then Thursday night headed down to Lafayette for the weekend for the wedding. I was much better by friday morning, although coughing alot. I managed not to have a ough attack durning the wedding by have like 4 cough drops at once. It was a beautiful wedding and great reception. We had alot of fun overall, being sick didn't get in the way much thankfully.

1 Week.

So this weekend we...You guessed it! We went to haunted houses and worked on Halloween Decorations! hurray!

So Sunday morning, I noticed one of our cheap skeletons was missing off the front porch. I freal out. Fortunately all they took was one cheap skeleton. I ran to the hardware store and purchased flood lights and motion sensors. Set it up so when you even walk past the house, it lights up like an airport. I walk into work today, and there sits my skeleton in my chair. After awhile of accusing people, both Julies down the hall admitted to doing it as a joke. One Julie feeels RREALLY bad, because she was listening to me about how mad I got when ui found out it was missing. it's all good, my yard needed the security anyways!

11 Days

11 Days until Halloween! Hurray!
Not enough time to finish I think. I've already cut some things from the project list. I hope to cut no more, but we'll see. Basically we've been working until late at night on everyhting. The Tombstones seem to take the longest because we paint, and then we have to wait for the paint to dry, then put on a secon layer, then wait, then weather, then wait... After about a week, we officially have 2 done as of last night. Assuming the glue holds.....

Time Constraints

If one could count the days in which I have to finish my Halloween Decorating, we'd be -25. We should of started making decorations in September. But nooo, I thoguht we could get them all done in October. Christina was right, I was wrong. We did get a bit done on sunday though. The well (circa "The Ring") is done, with a makeshift Samara in it. All the tombstones have been cut. A few we started painting, a few we weathered, and a few we dremeled names in. Got the strobe ghosts done too. Those kick some cool butt. Alot more to finish than I want to admit.

And the countdown begins....

One year. One year until two are joined into one. One year. One year until happiness is bliss. One Year. One year until our Wedding Day.

Wow, I'm a loser already! =P

Ahhhh, Halloween

So Christina and I are WAY behind on Halloween decorating. It's alomost the middle of the month, and we don't even have our yard decorations halfway done. *sigh* And what really sucks is we generally don't have any time to do them. Working two jobs, it's hard to get home in the daylight to do anything. Lately I';ve been working via floodlights in the backyard. Last night I made the best prop yet, a coffin! It looks killer. I showed the neighbors and Kristy said "Youa re officially a Halloween Freak!" Yeah, I have to agree with that.....

Wow

Hey! It's Tuesday! Be Happy!

As I go through my morning routine, I realize that over half of the blogs I read are nothing but depressing. And what's worse is, some of them are just kids, like well under 18, who are worried about soo many different things that they should not even be thinking about yet. Journalistic entries of 5 or more paragraphs long over things that I don't even worry about at almost 30! Then sometimes I sit here and ponder "What the Hell is wrong with these people?" But I don't know them. Who am i to judge? So I just shrug it off and move on.

Everything, and then some

So there's a few things to say today, so I'll sumerize for all those who don't want to read the entire entry:

It was cold people can't camp Friday the 13th 2006 Aberdeen Manor all trucks suck.

Went camping over the weekend at Potato Creek State Park. It's only an hour from me. It was cold, probably the coldest it's been since summer hit. But it was a lot of fun. We did take electric blankets, because the women freeze too easily. So each tent had an electric cord going into it. Normally we don't get electric site (Primitive baby! Electricity is for wusses) Potato Creek doesn't have primitive.
Which brings me to my next comment. Why do they call it camping if you own a 50-foot RV, place it on a spot, and sit inside it and watch TV the whole weekend? The people next to us did just this. We saw them for a total of about 1 hour sat night when they had a campfire. But as soon as the sun went down, they ran inside and turned on the TV. I actually had to go and ask them if they could turn off their "porch light" as it was ruining our "real" camping experience. OK, when you get older or as you have kids, I can see the need for a camper. My parents did. But we didn't have a TV in it. It was a place to sleep, and that's it. RV'ing is not camping! Hey, that should be bumper sticker. I'd sport it.

Last Thursday, Christina and I officially set the date, and made reservations for the ceremony and reception hall for the wedding. Friday, October 13th, 2006; Aberdeen Manor (Take the virtual tour, it's pretty good). All of the above will be there. The ceremony will be in the garden, and the reception in the ballroom. We are going to find out this week if the sun's going to co-operate with us or not. She's already started with the floral arrangement and buying tons of stuff for the wedding.

Been looking at tons of trucks. All the ones I find look great from the front, but seem to have some sort of hidden body damage somewhere. Suck.

Halloween

Well October is finally here, and Christina and I are seruoisly behind on our Halloween decorating. We only have the inside decorated, and jsut a graveyard on the outside. Usually we are almost done by now. But this year we are doing things a bit differently. We are making alot of the decorations ourselves, and redoing the old ones to look better. We've got alot of ideas, and revied out sketch of the yard. Oh, BTW, we started planning in July, and started buying things then too. Just didn't start construction until recently.

Finally!

Got the bikes back last night!

Finally, and today looks to be the last day of good riding weather too. Go figure. I called State Farm yesterday morning and told them that I wanted a resolution, and I wasn't getting off the phone until then. About an hour or so later, we had one, sort of. $2500 to me for damages to my bike, and $2300 to her for damages to her bike. But, they told me if I wanted to bring the bikes home, instead of getting them fixed, I was responsible for the storage fees at the bike shop. Which is $10/day for each bike, for the last three weeks. I argued that, saying if it wasn't for their insured, the bikes never would have been in the shop. Well they said they would send their estimator out and try to talk the shop down in price, because State Farm did in fact sit on this for over a week. I was like whatever, and hung up. I waited until later in the afternoon and called the bike shop. they hadn't heard from the state farm guy, and I told them what was going on. So I called state farms local office, where he's based out of. "Yeah, Ed was supposed to go to Buck's and pay off the storage fees so that i could get my bikes tonight." "Well Ed's not here, let me call him on his cell phone." [HOLD] "OK, Ed was planning on going there tomorrow morning, he's out of the area today." I'm sorry, not an option. Tonight is the only night this week I have to go there to get the bikes. I need them released tonight!" "OK, hold on a minute" [HOLD] "Ed says he can be there, but it won't be until late, like 6." "Fine by me, have him call my cell phone on the way there, so I can meet him there."

Fast Forward to about 5 o'clock. I get a call from the bike shop. "Hi Brent, Ed's here, he wants to talk to you.....Hi Brent, I just want you to know the storage and estimating fee's have been paid off. you can pick up the bikes now." Ed sounded very upset. I'm glad I didn't have to meet him there. Basically, as I find out a little later, Ed tried to Jew the bike shop down on storage fees. The guys said no, and the guys told Ed that I was not responsible for the storage fees, and that state farm needs to pay them. Then, as it turns out, Ed was in such a hurry, that he paid the estimating fees also, because they were on the same bill as the storage fees, and needed to be separated. Ed didn't feel like waiting I guess, and decided to pay the who shebang off. Now in the check state farm is sending me, they are giving me the money for the estimating fees. So that's basically a free $60 for Christina and I!

But the story doesn't end there. We pulled her bike out, and when I went to start it, I noticed it was already "on." But no power. They left the key in the "on" position. We jumped it using a booster pack, and it ran as long as the booster pack was on the bike. As soon as that was disconnected, it died. So they took her bike in the back and put it on the charger. Pulled my bike out. Key was off, but when turned on, nothing! Must be some sort of electromagnetic power draw around there or something. Booster packed it, started and ran fine. Let it sit for a few and rode it home. Came back and checked on Christina's bike. Removed it from he charger, and nothing. They tested the batter, it's fried. So they replaced the battery. When asked if I owed them anything "Nope, we're the ones who left the key on, we are responsible for the battery." So Christina also made out with a brand new battery!!

And that is the end of my story.....for now.....
