This is especially funny because we rented Pulf Fiction last week. Christina had never seen it before!

Late

I know, I know, almost a week late, but better late than never!

So last friday it was hot. 102 to be exact. This picture was taken about halfway home after work (about 20 minutes into a 40 minute ride). The closer I got to home, the hotter it got. Michigan city was 99, home was 102. Ugh. I LIVE IN INDIANA!! Not the freakin' desert!

And this one was taken when I got into the truck the other day. The nice sun sitting on the front of the truck for a few hours bumped up the heat!

Yesterday, it only got up in the mid 80's which was REALLY nice, except it was like 97% humidity. So normally, it would be perfect weather, but I was jsut standing next to my truck, waiting for someone, and I was sweathing me butt off! The pool is finally ready to go now, so I can't wait to use it!

Stuff

Chrsitna got her first estimate of the car damage. About $650. That's not bad, I figured more, and that was from a dealership body shop. Althought I don't think I would ever let them do the work.

Finally got the pool set up and running. Shocked it last night, so today will be good for swimming!

Went and did an appraisal last night. The lasdy asked me "Hot enough for ya?" To which I replied: "No way! I enjoyed it more when it was over 100! THat 95 degrees is nothin!" We all had a good laugh in her air condition townhome.

Hot

It got hot this weekend. I mean very hot. I took a picture on friday (and of course i didn't have time to upload it to the web) of my temperature gauge in my truck reading 104 on the way home from work. Friday was also the first day this year I used the air conditioner in my truck. Saturday wasn't as hot. but it was still in the mid 90's. Sunday, it again reached over 100, Christina's car read 101. Mind you the humidity level is about 95% this time of year. Ugh. You just open the door to go outside and you break into a sweat.

Nonetheless, I had a great weekend, for the most part. Pool party on friday. Saturday consisted of golfing, skeet shooting, an open house, mini golf, bumper cars, go carts and video games.

Sunday was different. We met our friend Shawn for lunch at Bob Evans. When we went to leave, we walked out into the parking lot to find the corner of the bumper of Christina's car smashed in. Someone somehow backed into it in this big ass parking lot with lots of turning room. And then just left. Fortunately, it's only the bumper that got damaged. I pushed it out the best I could, but the paint is still missing and you can see were the crease was. Bastards. People like that need to be shot.

Satellite Radio

Well I ordered XM Satellite radio the other day. Mostly ti use on the bike, but to put in the truck as well. I drive alot, so I figured, what the heck. I received it yesterday, so I activated it and wired it up in the truck. My first impressions? Not impressed at all. I spent an hour surfing the rock and alternative channels and only heard about 2 songs I recognized. The rest were by bands I knew, but they weren't the usual mainstream songs, and they sucked (hence why they are not mainstream). On my waty to work, I listened to my regular radio station, but flipped through the XM to look for songs I recognized. Not a one.

So we'll see how this works for the summer. Of course AFTER I buy this, people are telling me the programming on Sirius is MUCH better :-/

Sleepy Tired

I woke up on the couch again this morning. This is the second time this year. But this time, I actually remember laying down on the couch wondering where the blanket that usually lays on it is. But as to why I even went to the couch to lay down, I still don't know....

Feeling Buggy

So last night I had a nightmare about bugs crawling in my skin. And they weren't small bus either. I woke up and felt like I had bugs crawling all over me. I didn't sleep well the rest of the night. I kept swatting at things that weren't there.

Videos

Someone on the motorcycle message board I go to asked me to post these up in one of the threads. So I figured I would adorn you all wit them too.

What these are, are videos I made of my frind Chris on my old mototcycle in the snow a couple of years ago.

This video is the fisrt one I ever made. It really sucks. The background sound of the motorcycle lags about 3 seconds behind the picture. But for a vdery first try at video editing and mixing, it's not half bad. (please right click & save as)
Brent's First

This one is much better, albeit the style and song have been overused and abused. It's the same footage, but mixed much better, and more of it was used. Don't forget to watch the credits! (Please right click & save as)

De Train Boss! De Train!

Not very often do I pass the Amtrak on my way home from work. If anything, it passes me. But rarely do I even see it at this time of day. But today it was going slow, very slow. Normally it does about 85-90 along this stretch, yes, I've paced it.

In actuality, I pass this set of tracks 4 times on my to or home from work. I pass over it once on the highway, drive next to it for like 8 miles on this road, and then cross it twice in michigan city. And I can see the tracks from the parking lot at work, because they are only about 50 yards away.

Busy

Ever since I have been out of school I feel as if things haven't slowed down any. I thout I would have alot mroe free time to myself, but this hasn't proven so. I have done but one appraisal a week for about the last month, because the office has been so dead. But I go home and have a ton of things to do. And yet at the end of the day, I almost feel as if I've gotten nothing done.

This weekend was pretty good though. A group of us went and saw Star Wars Episode 3 at the new Showplace in Michigan Shitty. Both the movie and theater blew me away! Finally a Showplace theater that is closer than 45 minutes. Unfortunately the put i in an otherwise boing town. We like to go to nice dinners before going to the movies. But Michigan Shitty only really has like 2 good restaurants.

Saturday spent pretty much all day doing yard work. Then a couple friends came over and we had pizza and movie night. Watched Bubble Boy and Interview With a Vampire.

Sunday I helped my friend Shawn move into his new place, then just hung around there most of the afternoon. It stormed so hard while I was there, you couldn't see the building next door! Hung out at the house the rest of the night, people stopped buy and visited.

Interview

Wow, it's been so long since I've written an entry from home, I forgot how to get here. I mean the address to the entry page, not my homepage. It;s on my "Favorites" list at work.

Anyways, Thursday I will be spending pretty much all day interviewing at work for the engineering position. I have to interview with 5 people, each being about 45 minutes long. Ouch. Then lunch, then probably more interviewing. She (Kim in HR) said i should be done about 2PM. We start at 7:30. Bleh.

Wish me luck, I think....
