Nice Ride

Yesterday it was alsmot 80 degrees here. Which was wonderful. (Especially compared to todays high of 50). It was quite windy too, about 35 MPH. Well, still is. I had an appraisal to do after work, but before class, that was just down the road from where I live. So after the appraisal, I went home and looked at the weather map. Hmm, rain starting about 8. Cool! That gives me an hour! I got out my gear, pulled out the bike, and ride off to school. It was great, my first actual ride in like 5 months. Mind you, because it was so windy, in order to go straight down the road I have to lean the bike about 10-15 degrees to the right. Everyone in class tried to convince me it was going to be raining by the time we got out, but I told them I had already decided it wouldn't be. In fact when the professor started talking about brainstorming, I askedher not to say that word, so we changed it to brain collaborating. After class I walked outside to find that it wasn't raining. it was still windy, and we were in a lightening storm. Rinding home in that was pretty killer. I made it home about an hour before the rain hit.

Hummer

Well, that's one way to save gas!
I know, that was lame, but I took the picture and had to come up with SOMETHING for it. Then, this morning I see in the local paper an article about a club of Hummer owners. I wish I had that kind of money.

Weekend

Well it was a nice three day weekend, albeit too short....

Thursday night, didn't feel like doing much, just hung around the house and watched a movie.

Friday got up and went and did three appraisals in the snow. Then got to the office and Christina had another appraisal for me. Did that. And stayed at the office until about 5. Went home and met some friend and we all went to BW3's for supper. Then went back to my house and played video games. Then ended up heading out to Furby's until like 2:30AM. Got home somewhere between 3:30 and 4.

Saturday: Was originally intened to go to Cleaveland to pick up a motor that I have bought. Turns out it's just easier to go in a couple weeks. My friend Ryan from Cincinatti shows up outta nowhere, so we hung out all day. That night went to supper with Matt and then to the bar to celebrate Matt's birthday. Got home abou 1AM.

Sunday was Easter with the family. Christina and I took alot of the leftover munchies and stuff we had from Russ' birthday a couple weeks ago. So our fridge has more room for food now. Stayed at my parents pretty much all day. Rather relaxing.

Ten Techs

Ten Commandments for Techy's

Boosted from Keith's site

1) Beware the lightning that lurketh in the un-discharged capacitor, lest it cause thee to bounce upon thy buttocks in a most untechnician-like manner.
2) Cause thou the switch that supplieth large quantities of juice to be opened and thusly tagged, that thy day in this earthly vale of tears may be long.

3) Prove to thyself that all circuits that radiateth and upon which thou worketh are grounded and thusly tagged lest they lift thee to radio frequency potential and cause thee to make like a radiator, too.
4) Tarry not amongst those fools that engageth in intentional shocks, for they are surely non-believers and are not long for this world.
5) Take care that thou useth the proper method when thou takes the measure of a high voltage circuit lest thou incinerate both thyself and thy meter, for verily, though thou hast no account number and can be easily surveyed, thy test meter doth have one and, as a consequence, bringeth much woe unto the supply department.
6) Take care thou tampereth not with safety devices and interlocks, for this incureth the wrath of the supervisor and bringeth the fury of the safety inspector upon thy head and shoulders.
7) Work thou not on energized equipment, for if thou dost, thy fellow workers will surely buy beers for thy widow and console her in other ways.
8) Service thou not equipment alone, for electrical cooking is a slothful process and thou might sizzle in thine own fat for hour upon a hot circuit before thy Maker sees fit to end thy misery.
9) Trifle thou not with radioactive tubes and substances lest thou commence to glow in the dark like a lightning bug and thy wife have no further use for thee except thy wages.
10) Thou shall not make unauthorized modifications to equipment, but causeth thou to be recorded all field changes and authorized modifications made by thee lest thy successor tear his hair out and go slowly mad in his attempt to decide what manner of creature hath made a nest in the wiring of such equipment.

If it's not one thing....

You know. I am really beginning to hate computers. I installed XP on mine over the weekend. Again. Because the last time was a bad install. So in order for it to get to read my 200Gb drive, I had to install XP on a smaller drive first, then hook up the 200Gb drive as a slave, and use the Western Digital Data Lifeguard to enable the 200Gb feature so that windows can see it, then switch the 200Gb to master and install XP on it. It's alot of useless work! All because the last install I did would not let me hook up to the network. Bah... But the network works again.

So anyways, now when I try and make a "backup" of a DVD the DVD-ROM gives me an I/O error, and the DVD-RW will only read at 2.1x speed, which aitn' crap!! Gah, why can't anything ever go right for me?

Plus, my dad's AMD (which has been named Ben [last name, Dover]) still won't work right. But that's not the main concern right now, although I kick it like everyday for fun.

Weekend

It was a fairly uneventful weekend. Christina and I were both sick. In fact I went home from work sick only 2 hours after I got there. Then had to go to school later in the afternoon to take a test. I'm sure that went over well. I don't remember it much, as I was all drugged up. Pretty much just hung at the houser all weekend, as neither one of us felt compelled to go anywhere.

Weekend

It was another good weeekend. I wish everyday was a weekend. Friday night my friend Russ brought over Wagners Ribs, we chowed on those and played video games until about 3AM. Chrsitina and I went with Brian and Sabrina to the Maple Syrup Time Festival at the Chellberg Farm. That was prety fun, although cold, and our tour guide was an idiot. Sat evening I put the tonneau cover on my truck (it fit this time), then we went over to Doughboy's house for Russ birthday supper. Hung out there for awhile, then went to the bar. I actually didn't buy any alochol, but there were a couple people buying rounds of shots. Sunday worked all afternoon. Did a full apprasial and a drive by. Then did some paperwork in the office. Mat up with out friends Tony and Lindsey for supper at Pizzeria Uno's. MMMmmm good. Went home and watched Ladder 49. Good movie, despite all the innaccuracies I spotted. Being a volunteer fireman, there was alot we were taught to NEVER do. They did quite a few of them. If they hadn't, he may have never ended up the in situation he was in. Christina was probaly getting upset by me saying "Nope, they shouldn't have done that. That's not right. You don't use a straight stream for that, you use a fan! Nope, that should never happen....."

Friday!

Most people tend to wake up late. But not me! I wake up early! My alarm went off this morning, I got up and took a shower. Afterwards I glanced at the clock on the wall: quarter until six. "Noo, that can't be right," went into the bedroom and looked at the alrm clock: quarter until six. I forgot to hit snooze this morning! I was 45 minutes early. So I went back to bed.

Yesterday went to Wal-Mart in a blazing snowstorm to buy food for this evenings festivites. Saw a snowblower there for $200. They just wanted to get rid of it. I bought it. Sweet! Nothing huge, nothing special, just enough for the amount of snow we USUALLY get.

The people I ordered the blackouts from are refunding me my money. So they won't get negative feedback, but they'll receive neutral. It's been 2 weeks since I ordered them, and they never sent them out! The guy I bought my HD Loader from never wrote back, so he got negative feedback. And the guy I bought the intake from didn't write back until AFTER I gave him negative feedback. What a coincidence!

Worse luck

If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
So I received the "missing" part from my bed rail order last night. I opened it up, and low and behold, it's the wrong part!! Go F*&^ing figure! And the people I bought the intake from won't respond to me since I have emailed them pictures that they sent me the wrong part. I ordered my blackouts 2 weeks ago, but they are going to ship them on friday. And The guy I bought the HD Loader from for the PS2 hasn't responded to my e-mails all week. But he's responded to other people. So if I don't hear from him by tomorrow morning, he'll get negative feedback on ebay. The intake people got the first negative feedback I have ever left today. And the backout people are going to receive it tomorrow if they don't refund my money today.
FUN FUN! I hate my life.

And Brian, I talked to Sabrina last night. My house sat morning at 9:30.

Blah

Is it me? Or is my life just that boring?
On spring break from school this week. Still working though. So that sucks. Having all kinds of problems with computer #2. Computer #1 still doesn't want to see the network. The Playstation is part of the network now! Just need to receive the software to run the hard drive.

Stupid Weather

It was 70's and sunny yesterday. Now it's about 30 and snowing.
Gotta love it!

Wrong or not enough

It was again a pretty good weekend. Christina left town for the weekend and I ended up at the bars, again. But met up with friend from out of town all weekend, so that's cool. Sunday turned out to be a beautiful 70 degree day (first day over 45 in like 3 weeks, and it looks like the last in the next 2-3 weeks too). So it was time to start putting some of the truck goodies on. Got out the bed rail caps, and foud out they shorted me the tailgate. It wasn't ont he invoice, but I paid for it. Dang. Next up was the tonneau cover. Got that abot halfway on until we realized it wasn't going to fit. Why? Because it was made for a Dodge Dakota!! Damn again! Then we realized there wasn't enough time to put on the nerf bars. Well today, the high was reached at 12AM with 50 degrees. It's supposed to get into the teens and start snowing for the next couple of days. It'll be awhile before I get another chance to put my toys on.

Nothing

Nothing exciting, nothing new. It took me 25 minutes to clean and water change both fish tanks yesterday, I am happy. And I really didn't even get my hands wet. Bonus. I do have 3 computers hooked up at the house right now. The old one has thrown a fan bearing, my dads old one seems to be workign jsut fine, but he gave it to me because it always threw the blue screen of death (in the month I have had it, nothing), and my computer is so screwed up it;s unreal. It took me all night just to get the monitors working again. Never uninstall SP2!!! My computer won't connect or share the network. It shoudl but it won't. I've tried everything but reformatting. I've heard that SP2 could have caused this, so I took it off. Still nop go. Tried reinstalling it, and the computers been hell ever since. Bah. At least I still have one working computer. :-/

Memories

So I was doing this address book thing on Bebo that was originally sent to me from my friend Beth. I didn't think this thing would ever catch on, but pretty much all my friends have signed up! one of them being a long lost friend Erin. I thought she just had quit talking to me, because she didn't return my messages on IM. But turns out, I dunno what happened there, but we're e-mailing now, and it's pretty cool. I am glad to hear that she is doing great and getting married and owns a house and stuff! Lost connections put back together rule.

Checks

I got my new checks in the other day. I ordered from a company called Checks Your Way. They are a bit expensive, but very cool. My checks last me a long time, so the money is well worth it. I use like 2-3 a month. I love how the bikes came out, but I am not so impressed with the Corrado. They require a VERY high quality picture to use, well the bikes were, the Corrado was a scanned image of a picture I had taken a few years ago. So it was anyting but high quality, hence the way it turned out. But I am happy none-the-less.

Spam Mail

I don't get blog spam. They send you humdreds of comments, and not a single one has a link that works! I try then once in awhile, just to see what is so important to spam all these blogs about, and none of the links on them work! So what is the point of spamming then?? I thought it was to make money!?
