Weekend Wrap-Up
Wow, did I have a good weekend this weekend. Friday, I got out of class at about 7:15PM, and went stright home, where a couple of friends, Russ and Shawn, were waiting for me. I grabbed my bag and threw it in the truck, and we drove 3 hours downstate to Muncie to visit with Matt, Crystal, and Kelly. Now mind you, I had to ride in the jumper seat of the extended cab S10. It was quite uncomfortable.
So we got there a little after midnight their time, and Russ, Kelly, and I went straight to the bar where my old friend Rob "The Guy On The Couch" was waiting for us. That was a flashback, and pretty damn cool to see him again! I hadn't eaten that much that day, and as well it didn't take me that long to get wasted. And wasted I was. We got home and passed put about 4AM.
The next morning I got up to try and order U2 tickets for the up comming tour. Well the internet was down at their house, so all I had was the phone. And I called, and called, and called, and called. Never got through, until two and a half hours after they went on sale, and they told me it was sold out!! I was quite pissed. Russ, Shawn, and I went apartment shopping with Matt and Crystal, so that was fun. Then we went back to the house and watched Robbin Williams, Live on broadway. About halfway through, everyone decided they needed a nap. So they all took one, and there I was, watching Robbin Williams by myself. Russ made tacos for dinner, and I continually fought with Kelly and Crystal by tickeling them and stuff. Then they attacked my feet and it was pretty much all over for me. Kelly attempted to kill me with pop bottle, but to no avail. We all then went out to the bars again, where, I hadn't had much to eat, and didn't take me much to get drunk. But I was pacing myself with Kelly, making her drink as much as me. So sge was drunk too, which is good I suppose. I didn't feel kike that much of a lightweight. Again, went to bed about 4AM or so.
Sunday was pretty relaxed. Russ made breakfast, we went out on a tour of Muncie, and then lunch, and we left for home. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. It's great to get out of town for awhile.

Laura's Birthday!
Today is Laura's Birthday!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA!!
Laura is this sweet girl from Nevada whom I've been talking online with for probably at least 4 years now. Laura and I talk almost every day via instant messenger. I would be very bored at work without her around. She is a great friend, She had a VW Squareback that is just super cool, and I hope I have to chance to meet her in person one day! It's her blog that got me interested into the wonderful world of blogging. So you can all thank her for this! :-D For Christmas, her sweetheart Kyle, who she refers to as Mr. Boy (for what reason, I don't actually now) proposed to her.
Everyone go over to Laura's site and wish her a Happy Birthday! Be sure to tell her I sent ya!

Hurray for Friday
Hurray! It's friday! Going to Muncie tonight, as soon as I get out of class. So we'll get there about midnight. Went to Hooters last night to celebrate a coworkers birthday, that was pretty fun. Started learning how to overclock my video card too last night. Unfortunately it's not overclockign as high as I thought it would, considering it's got the better R360 GPU vs the R350 GPU. I was told the R360 was really good for overclockign, as well as being a Sapphire card. So far, I am not impressed at all. Most people with this combination are about 30MHz higher than my highest setting. That sucks, I bought this card because of it's overclock potential. Well, I'll flash it to XT and see what that does.

Car Shopping
We did some more car shopping yesterday. In the afternoon, Christina and her dad went to a Pontiac dealer in Merrillville, and her dad had to actually get between her and the car salesman and yell at him, saying that they were NOT going to buy a car right then and there! She said he was really annoying, telling her she didn't have to make a downpayment, or wait for the settlement, or anything, they could get her in a car today. This is the reason we try going at night when all the dealers are closed. We visited Mazda, Nissan, and another Pontiac dealer last night. We found a Mazda 6 that she really likes. It's currently right at the top of her list right now. She is going to try and spend today shopping in Crown Point and other dealers in Merrillville. I told her I think she sould have a deadline set, and decide on what she wants by wednesday night. So we'll see.

Saturday
Friday night through saturday night, is snowed. ALOT! Again. In 12 days, 11 of them it snowed. So we have some nice deep snow now. Well saturday morning I went and did an apprasial in Gary, and then went to my friend Russ' and we played on the quads all day. I used the 250EX, and he used the Grizzly, because he was pulling the kids around on the sled. I had a blast! It was a small quad, but boy could it do donuts and slide in the snow! I couldn't tell you how many tinmes I went into the ditch. Russ said every time he turned around to check on the girls, I was heading for a ditch. Whenever we went offroad though, I had to follow in his tracks. The snow was way too deep, and if I went off, I got stuck.
Picture captions (left to right):
1) Standing from Left to Right: Russ, his niece Megan, and his daughter Kacey.
2) Kacey in front, isn't she so cute? I'm not sure where she gets it from! I dunno what Russ is doing to Megan....
3) The quads and sled
4) Wuuuzzz Uuuppppp!!! Your one and only, in the flesh.

Sunday - Shoveling and Dreams
So this morning, I got up about 4:30 to go shoveling! Yea for me. And we shoveled, and shoveled, and shoveled. From 5:30AM to Noon. Ugh. So we were out shoveling, and I was telling Shawn and Dave about my weird dream I had, where every time I answered my cell phone, it would fall apart. Shawn tells me he had a dream that included me and Russ. Oh no.....
So his dream starts out in Hell. Shawn is there, and he is walking down this corridor. He looks into a room and see's Russ sitting there in a chair. this big voice booms from beyond: "Russ Ippolitto, this is your hell!" And this big fat ugly girl walks in the room and sits on his lap. Then he says it kinda splits screens, and he is in a room, sitting on a chair. The big great voice from beyond: "Shawn Dutcher, this is your Hell!" And this bigger fatter uglier girl than Russ had walks in and sits on his lap.
"Oh no!" I say, "I can see where this is going!"
Shawn smiles. So I see Pamela Anderson next, he says. She walks into a room: "Pamela Anderson, this is your Hell!"
"And then," Shawns says: "Brent, you walked into her room!!"
I dunno, Hell for her, Heaven for me!

Fun in San Andreas
Last night a couple friends came over and we played Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas all night. Just playing around with Cheat Codes and seeing how far we could get killing a bunch of people, and how many stars we could get before the cops killed us. Well I kept playing after they left, and found the ultimate combination. First, spawn a Bloodring Banger, it's like a super hyped up reinforced demo derby car. Then use the cheat code for "Any vehicle you punch this in, can blow up anything like a tank." Basically any car you touch with the car you are driving will blow up. Then turn on Pedestrian Riot. And you're off! It's complete and utter chaos!! I quickly got up to 4 stars by running people over. SWAT, the Police helecopter, and the cops were all over me every corner! People in the street with guns killing each other, and everything else! Myc ar cought fire like 20 times, and always went out by itself, I just kept on driving. I totaled an hour and a half like that, before my car flipped over, and I couldn'r spawn another car fast enough before I was killed. Mind you in this time I prolly spawned the Banger 4 different times, when the car flipped over or I got stuck. I am begining to think you can't get anything over 4 stars...

Totalled
Here are the pictures of Christina's Cavalier. She got the news today, the car is in fact, totalled. So I guess i won't have to worry about why the rear window defrost doesn't work anymore! I had a couple people look at it, and they had no clue. Anyways, they are going to call her on Monday to discuss the details. Apparently the insurance companies have been very busy the last few days with all the bad weather and icy conditions. They told her wednesday to call and reserve a rental car, because so many people were needing them. We're going to pick that up on Monday. She's always wanted a Pontiac Grand Prix. I think she should get like a Mini or a VW GTi 1.8T, but she hates hatchbacks. We're gonna go car shopping come next monday. Late at night, when the dealers are closed, so we can shop in peace.

Been awhile
Well it's been awhile. I had a 3 day weekend becaus of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And then I was sick yesterday, but that didn't last long. Shortly after Christina went to work, I got a call from her, and all I could understan was "spin" "hit" and "tree." The last time I jumped out of bed and got fdressed that fast from a dead sleep was when I was on the fire department making fire calls. She's OK, don't worry, Just a sore neck. But it appears that she spun out of control on an icy corner. Her front bumpter was ripped off when the front end hit a berm, and the rear of the car hit the tree. The damage is pretty bad, I would be really surprised of the car wasn't totaled. It sucks too, she was abotu a year from paying it off.
In other news, I have the new video card and hard drive in. Everyhting seemed to go pretty smooth. Using 3Dbenchmark2001, the video card scored 11116, compared to the old one which scored 4500. And I haven't even overclocked it yet! The whole system passed 10 runs of SiSoft Saundra Burn In testing, so that's good.

Limit Your Goals
Two days ago it was 65 degrees. Yesterday, we reached our high at 12AM. Today's high is 12. And it's already 11 out. Three below windchill. Not fun. Not funny either! Just two hours south of me, yesterday, the weather channel called for 65 and snow. Only in Indiana....

What's it to ya
So yeah, I hate not being able to fall asleep. I'll just lie in my bed for hours staring at the ceiling. Actually, that's not true. I toss and turn, alot, when I can't sleep. And that's pretty much every night. I seem to be a night person, I don;t have a problem staying up until 3AM. And then, I don't have a problem going to sleep either. But the earlier I have to go to be, the less I'll actually go to sleep. See then I start getting upset about not being able to sleep. then my adreneline starts going, and heart starts pumping. and mind starts racing. And that doesn't help at all! Oh well, welcome to the hell that is my life.

School Sucks
Well, school sucks, so what's new. I hyate writing, sot Technical Writing is not going to be a fun class for me. We have to find an "acedemic partner" so that we can write/rewrite sone sort of technical documents or manuals for them, We have to have a list of possibilities by wednesday. That's not leaving us with a whole lot of time. She was going to try an make us stay on campus, until we all started complaining that we're never on campus, no have reason to be, other than her class. She asked for a show of hands on who wanted to stay on campus, and not one hand went up. So she's letting us use off campus resources.

Weekend
Helped a friend move back to Muncie this weekend. The only problem was that Muncie had an ice storm last week, and pretty much the whole town was out of power. By the time we got there saturday though, about half the town was back up. Except for his house. His house had power but a tree branch came down and ripped their power line from the house right off the pole, causing it to short out the transformer and take out the rest of the block. Nice huh? The power company said they would get to it wednesday or thursday. So we attempted to find a place to stay, after we got his stuff moved in. Only to find out every hotel either had no power or was booked. One of Matt's friends ended up calling saying, he had plently of room for us. So we went there, settled in, and went looking for an open bar. We found one, the marquee sign read "We Have Power! Come on in."

Nothing
I wanted to work on the computer last night, but ended up hanging out with some friends instead. Not that that's a bad thing. I did realize that my system was not stable running at 3.059GHz, and backed it off to 3.048GHz. Every time I tried to run Spybot Search & Destry, it would lock up. I got my video card last night! Wa Hoo! If my friend Matt moves back to Muncie this weekend, I plan on helping him, since Shawn is going, I don't have to spend the $100 in gas to get there and back.
I know, these posts haven't been interesting. But I am trying to make up for lost time here people! Sheeeeesh, God! Whadda think? (quoting the most GODAWFUL movie I have ever seen in my life! Napolean Dynamite)

Smallville-a-thon
SO over Christmas break, the girlfriend ordered Smallville seasons 1 and 2 from amazon.com. She got hooked on the show while I was at school this last semester. Well saturday, season 2 came, but come to find out season 1 was on backorder. We have been watching it ever since sunday. In fact, in three days we watched the entire second season. Last night she picked up season 3 from Wal-Mart. Great, just when I thought I was going to be able to get stuff done again too....

New Stuff
So some things I left out of the last post, and the post page needs to be filled up, so here's some technical stuff.
For Christmas I got the Network Adapter for my Playstation 2. With this network adapter I can install a hard drive and using a product called HD Advance, I can copy games and movies to the hard drive, and not have to use disks to play games. Also, if I hook the PS2 up to my home network, I can just download PS2 games to my computer and move right over to the Playstation. So now I need a hard drive. Well, I'm not going to buy a brand new hard drive for the playstation, so I ordered a 200GB Western Digital for the computer. The 80GB on the computer will be moved into the playstation. I got to thinking though, I have never really been able to overclock my computer to what it was designed to do, because the power supply that came with the case was only 350W. So I also ordered the Antec TruPower 550W power supply.
So now all this stuff to make this happen are on the way. But wait, my video card is an ATi 7500 All-In-Wonder. Well guess what I found out, it's too old to play Doom 3 with! Oh no! Just another excuse to buy new products! So now I have on the way a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128Meg 256-bit video card! Oh but that card is a year old you say. Don't worry, Sapphire makes it extremely overclockable. (I do have a budget to work with you know!) So I also ordered the ATi Silencer/Cooler for the video card! Hurray!

New Year
Wow, it's been that long since I have written in here. I went on vacation, and pretty much didn't do anything that required any sort of effort. That included logging onto the blog. I spent most of the time haning out with friends, and visiting family for the holidays. I didn't want to have to come back to work today. In fact, I attempted to come back yesterday, only to get here and find out that we had Monday off too. I guess I forgot that.
Got some good Christmas presents, pretty much everything I asked for. New Years was spend in Indianapolis with some friends. I lost a couple games of beer pong, that was bad.
I start my last semester of school next week! So exciting, I can definately wait.
