Early to Eyes
I don't like getting up early, but today I've been at work since 6AM. It wasn't that hard to wake up either, which surprises me. I have an eye doctor appt this morning, so I had to make up my time. Finally, maybe I'll be able to see since I lost my glasses at Disney World!

Camping
This weekend we went camping at Turkey Run State Park with our friends Tony and Lindsey. No you have to understand that Tony and Lindsey like the finer things in life, and apparently can't go an entire weekend without them. So much so that when they couldn't find their air mattress, we had to stop and buy one on the way. I didn't upload the pics yet, so I can't even gove you a screenshot of all the extra crap they brought with. They each had their own duffle bag of clothes, extra tents, propane grill, tubs for washing AND rinsing dishes, dishes, 2 coolers! One for food, and one for drinks, 2 crates with I dunno what in them, and trust me, there's much more! Christina and I had all of our clothes in ONE duffle bag, a tent, 2 sleeping bags, chairs (and I contested that, it's what coolers and picknic tables are for), and I think that is all. We took an explorer, and we had to put one of the seats down so the girls in back were smashed, and even had to carry stuff on their laps. We couldn't even haul firewood.....
Despite that though, it was a pretty good weekend. Very humid, I was sweating just thinking about moving. It rained almost the whole way down there, and stopped jsut as we were ready to set up. It was late about 7:30 and getting dark. We couldn't get the campfire going, so we jsut gave up and cooked supper over the propane stove. Sat was predicted to be cold and rainy, but it wasn't Hot and humid. Got up at 7 and I cooked breakfast. We hiked approx. 4 miles in the morning/early afternoon. Tony went back to the car about halfway through though, as he was sweating and getting all hot, and wasn't feeling good. Christina, Lindsey, and I ate lunch at a waterfall in the side of a small stream. On our way back, Lindsey slipped on a stair and bruised her butt. After hiking we got on our swimsiut and went tubing on Sugar Creek. It was about 1.5 miles, and took almost 3 hours. Like a giant lazy river, and boy did that feel good after hiking! Got back to the campsite, and started the fire for supper, and wouldn't you know, it started raining! Go figure. We sant in the truck for about 45 minutes until the rain had all but stopped, and then we got out and started on supper. We sat around the campfire the rest of the evening, and then went off to bed. It rained pretty much all night long, sunday morning I didn't feel like cooking again, and no one else offered to, so we went out to breakfast. When we came back, we packed up and left. Christina and I were packed in about 15 minutes. It took Tony and Lindsey about an hour, and Christina and I took down their mosquito net for them. See another advantage of packing light?

5 Years
Today I got my years in with the company! Well, it;s six technically, but they never could the part-time status. I was pulled into the VP's room and they whole department was there to congratulate me. Then they presented me with a gift booklet, where I can pick out any gift I like. They aren't the really cheap ones either, they seem to be about $40-$50 in price. Not bad really.
But the best thing of all is I finally got my 3rd week of Vacation!!

Work Dinner & Stuff
All the salesman and area office managers are in the office this week for meetings. Last night they had a dinner at Blue Chip Casino, and I was invited. Open bar. Nothing like drinking on the company's money. And the free food too!
On the other side, one of my best friends moved out to Miami today. Well, not permanently, but for the next 4 months. One of my other fireds is movieng to Missouri in the next couple weeks, permanently. And my old Roomate just up and left at the begining of summer and moved to Missouri. I'm running out of friends here. This sucks.

Here are jsut a couple of the pics that we bought from Disney World. We calculated last night that we have over 800 pics to go through and sort before we get them online. Hopefully these will tide you over.
These are just the ones we got profesionally done, and then scanned.

Disney World!
Disney World Rules! And so does Universal Studios! Got back saturday from our weeklong vacation. I prolly took about 150 pics a day. We flew out the day after the hurricane, and was delayed 4 hours because of all the debris and the ATA terminal was pretty much destroyed. It actually worked out, alot of people cancelled thair vacations or their flights got cancelled. There were alot less people in the parks than anticipated, and we really didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes for almost any ride! Universal studios was a little more packed, but still we didn't wait long, except for the Mummy Revenges, which was totally worth the hour wait! I left with $500 and came back with $75, a polo, a tshirt, and a picture of me and Mickey Mouse. I loved Florida, and totally didn't want to come home!
The thing that sucked about Disney World was that they had NO internet access. We did have a laptop, and downloaded all the pics to it. Now I just gotta sort them and find a place to post them, as I have no more room on my website. Each night, I also did a complete write-up of that day, that eventually I'll take all the spelling and grammar mistakes out and fix all nice nice. Unfortunately though, I AM back at work, and I start college again today. Suck.

Hurricane Charley
Hurricane Charley seems to want to ruin my vacation. It's supposed to be about mid Florida at 8AM tomorrow morning. Our flight is supposed to land about 1 in Orlando. I have a GOOD feeling that we're not going to be there until late tomorrow, if we're lucky. I highly doubt they fly airplanes over or through Hurricanes. Currently though, Orlando airport is closing at 5PM today, and is expected to open again tomorrow at 10AM, so that may be a good thing. I know we're taking a laptop, but I dunno of we're gonna have internet access while we are gone.... I'll keep you updated when I can!

Day at the beach
Sunday Christina and I went to the beach to try and get somewhat of a base tan for when we go to Florida. It was about 75 degrees out, not really warm, but quite sunny. I figured the beach wouldn't be that busy, but was I wrong! We rode the bikes, and gald that we did, because there was no parking for cars there. But the bikes can fit in nice little smalls spots. The beach itself was just packed. Apparently everyone wanted to go. The water, though, was freezing. I managed to get a little sunburnt, but not too bad. Took a few pics:

Self Mutilation
Why do we as humans enjoy self-inflicting pain? Saturday, I joined my friends and coworkers again for another round of paintball. We played almost 6 hours. the weather was perfect, sunny and mid 70's. I came home with quite a few marks on me, including one to my face. The paintball went though the vent and got me good, leaving behind a slight bruse and scratches. Left a few good welts on my back too. Ryan brought a camera, and has shared the pics with me. You can check then out by clicking below.
Paintball: August 7th, 2004
I found out today that apparently I only have 500MB for my website. And I've used it all. I need to do some housecleaning to get more pics on here. I think I am going to axe AquariBlg, as I haven't even updated it in a coons age....

Boring
It's been a fairly uneventful last couple of days. Sunday I spent with long time friends that have moved out of state. They were back in town for a little shindig, and we hung out on a lake cottage all day. The perfect weather made it nice and relaxing to play in the water. Made me wish I had my R/C boat working again though.
Looking through the pics I took at the Demo Durby friday night, I have realized that I just cannot take night pictures. This time I used Christina's camera, and most of the pics came out blurry then too!
